Dorgon Biography
Dorgon is a saxophone player and experimental musician loosely associated with the downtown New York jazz and improv scene. He was part of the group Dim Sum Clip Job, and after that group split in the late-'90s he began releasing limited-edition CDs and tapes of saxophone, electronics, and other experiments on his Jumbo imprint. In addition to his many solo releases, Dorgon has recorded and released two albums of duets with bassist William Parker and one with drummer Laura Cromwell. In 2005, Tzadik released his first widely available album, God Is Greatest. ~ Wade Kergan, All Music Guide
