Marco Bosco Biography
Marco's performance career started in New York at the famed Silver Cup Studios, where as a 9 year old he was picked to be part of a pop group that performed daily on an Italian variety show hosted by Raffaella Carra. Filmed in Queens and broadcast worldwide on RAI International, the group was known as 5 Stars and had a record deal with Italian major label Fonitcetra. As a member of 5 Stars, Marco was fortunate enough to share the stage singing and dancing along side legends like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Tina Turner, Frank Sinatra and other stars that made appearances on the show.
Marco's U.S. debut came as a producer, featured artist and writer on the most recent MIMS album, 'Guilt', released by Capitol Records in 2009. "Chasing Sunshine", Marco's track on the album, was the first song mentioned in the AP review and became a favorite of iTunes reviewers and online bloggers around the world.
His self produced single 'Another Night' released by his own label Eruption Music Group is currently being added to media base stations around the country in both Hot AC and CHR (Top 40) format.
2010 - News of Marco's new project caught the attention of RAI, the National television network of Italy ran a story on TG1 featuring clips of his new material along with an in studio interview.
2009 - Produced and wrote 'Chasing Sunshine', on the album 'Guilt' by rapper MIMS.
2008 - Had a supporting role in the movie 'Copy Cat', filmed and released in China and became the first Western artist to shoot a music video in Beijing. (for the soon to be released song 'Break Away)
2001 to 2004 - His song 'Crash On Me' was featured on the 'Greatest Hits Ever' compilation by Daily Mirror in the UK and was an insert in over three million newspapers.
Sold over 250,000 units in Italy (English language) of the EP 'Time' released by Wind Communications. The video for the title track was filmed in Mexico and the video was appeared in movie theaters across Europe to promote Wind as well as received airplay on MTV Italy and MTVUK.
During this time, Marco also toured with Bush, opened for Nelly Furtado in Italy, and played the prestigious San Remo festival twice along with other invited guests including Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz and Alanis Morrisette.
