Hailed in the U.K. by NME and Q as "the saviour of dance music" and "whip-smart electronic eclecticism", Scottish producer/artist Mylo will cross the Atlantic and make his stateside debut with the innovative Destroy Rock & Roll on Breastfed Records February 7th.
Growing up on the remote Isle of Skye, Myles MacInnes a.k.a. Mylo, submerged himself in music. The isolation gave him a unique perspective that energized his creative juices and gave way to the heart-pounding Destroy Rock& Roll. Previously released in the U.K. on Breastfed Records, Mylo's own imprint, Destroy Rock & Roll is a lush body of work containing a multitude of textures. The landscape of the album is vast, from the feel good sway of 'In My Arms' to the funky body moving staccato of 'Drop the Pressure.' The February 7th U.S. release will feature exclusive music and the new U.K single 'Doctor Pressure' (Mylo vs. Miami Sound Machine) which entered the U.K. chart at #3.
Mylo's top-notch producing skills aren't the end to his talents. His incredible live shows with a full band, including himself on keyboards and guitar, have garnered much attention and his DJ sets are already a staple on the U.K. club scene. Mylo will embark on his U.S. debut with one of the most important dance music releases of 2006.
Mylo has been on a nonstop whirlwind since the album's release in the UK. This year has seen him remixing tracks for the likes of The Scissor Sisters, Sia, and The Killers, plus receiving the endorsement of Sir Elton John, who cites Destroy Rock + Roll as his current favorite album, saying "every home should own a copy."
