Norman Connors Biography

American jazz drummer, composer, arranger, producer, and headliner

Born on 01.03.1947, in Philadelphia, Pennysylvannia, U.S.A.

His first recording was in "Magic Of JuJu" album with Archie Shepp in 1967.

In 1972 he recorded his first album as a bandleader.

He went on leading some great jazz recordings with Carlos Garnett, Gary Bartz, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Herbie Hancock.

After mid-70's he turned to more sophisticated r'n'b and soul material with featuring guest singers like Michael Henderson, Jean Carn, Phyllis Hyman, Al Johnson, Jones Girls etc.
