The Buckinghams Biography

American pop rock band that formed in 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. The band, which featured a strong horn sound, scored its greatest chart success with the #1 hit "Kind Of A Drag" that following year. The group disbanded in 1970, but reformed in 1980. The band's original lineup included Carl Giammarese (lead guitar and vocals), Nick Fortuna (bass), Dennis Miccolis (keyboards), ("Jon-Jon") John Poulos (drums), and Dennis Tufano (vocals). Larry Nestor briefly replaced Miccolis on keyboards and was himself replaced by Marty Grebb in early 1967.
