The Swellers Biography
Bringing melodic pop punk and 90's inspired indie rock back into the music scene, Flint Michigan's local band, The Swellers, are making a statement. Brothers Nick and Jonathon Diener started the band back in 2002 and began recording and playing local shows in the weeks following. The Swellers signed with Search and Rescue Records in summer of 2005 after releasing their first LP "Beginning Of The End Again" that same spring. Intense promotional touring for the album stretched from 2005 until the release of their second Search and Rescue album, "My Everest". Their aggressive punk songs combined with their intense stage presence caught the attention of, Fueled By Ramen, who recently signed The Swellers in conjunction with Paper+ Plastick Records. Their latest album, "Welcome Back Riders", stays true to their raw sound with edgy hooks and catchy melodies. Hard work and dedication has proved successful for this small town band; as they gear up for their major label debut with their new album "Ups And Downsizing", The Swellers aren't letting the ever changing music trends affect their classic, hard edge sound, quickly making them a stand out band people are talking about.
