Theurgic Seed

Theurgic Seed is the outgrowth of a
wide variety of talented musicians,
animators, videographers,
photographers, and artisans from all
over the United States. It is more
than simply the sum of its parts.
Theurgic Seed was brought together
synchronisticly in the lush-green
landscape of Eugene, Oregon
(1999). Their common voice meshes
with the undercurrent paradigm shift
occurring through the proliferation of
independent-open-source-media,
and the re-birth of understanding that
all things are interconnected.

Theurgic Seed is Jair on lead guitar
and vocals, Scott DeWitt on bass,
James West on drums, and Kevin
Murphy on mandolin, Needlebreaker
on turntables, with special guests
that include; Scotty Perey on piano
and Thais Perkins on vocals.

Theurgic Seed is emergence! A
co-operative network forged from the
hard work of its convergent talented
group collective. The intertwining of
musical genre, soundscape, and
visual hallucinations results in a
hybrid auditory-revisualization. Their
performances and recordings have
been described as taking "a journey
through a musical story, "
"genre-busting," "mind-expanding,"
and "myth, music, and magic
combined." Jair's lyrics constitute an
inventive, insightful, and
non-apologetic look at the
"developing world."

Theurgic Seed first harvested its
sound, laying down their first
Enhanced CD Maxi-Single (2000) .

"This is not a (c/s)ell" was more
than two-and-a-half years in the
making, this hybrid, 2-disc set
features master tabla player,
Abhiman Kaushal, and The Seed
Quartet.
