Vernon Dalhart Biography

Vernon Dalhart (born as Marion Try Slaughter II on April 6, 1883 in Jefferson, Texas, USA - died September 15, 1948) was an American country musician.

During the '20s and '30s, Dalhart used over 100 pseudonyms to record over 5,000 78 rpm singles; among the names he adopted were Frank Evans, Vernon Dale, Tobe Little, Bob White, Hugh Lattimer, Sid Turner, and Al Craver.
