Herman Finck

Heinrich Finck was the grand-uncle to Hermann though the two never met. After early musical training Hermann is thought to have joined the service of King Ferdinand I of Hungary in the chapel. Shortly thereafter he moved to Wittenberg and was appointed organist; this was where he spent the remainder of his life.
