Mike Metheny

The older brother of Pat Metheny, Mike Metheny started off as a classical trumpeter. After graduating from the University of Missouri and serving in the Army, he was encouraged by his brother to play jazz. Already 25, Metheny attended Berklee and soon became a member of the faculty.
