Tommy Benford

Born in the Appalachians, drummer Tommy Benford and his brother, tuba player Bill Benford, unfortunately wound up as orphans. Both boys benefited from the extensive musical training offered by the Jenkins Orphanage of South Carolina as a result of these circumstances.
