3 Reasons: Converse Rubber Tracks Wants You, Metal Bands -

Find out how metal bands can get their studio time on.

Converse Rubber Tracks and MetalSucks are reuniting for "Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks," a special weeklong residency that offers emerging metal acts the opportunity to record original music at a state-of-the-art studio alongside acclaimed producers, at no cost. Now in its third year, the annual program will provide chosen artists the rare chance to record under the guidance of lauded metal producers, Will Putney and Kurt Ballou. Similar to all sessions at any Converse Rubber Tracks studio, each artist will retain all rights to their work following their recording time.

Why is this cool for fans? Because it brings metal bands one step closer to YOU!

    • "Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks" will return to Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY for its third consecutive year, and simultaneously debut for the first time in the new Converse Rubber Tracks in Boston, MA. The program will take over each studio for a full week, where five emerging artists in each city - handpicked by Putney and Ballou, as well as MetalSucks co-founders, Vince Neilstein and Axl Rosenberg - will record original music in an advanced, high-tech studio setting for a full day.

    • Utilizing top-of-the-line gear and equipment to engineer, mix, and master each session, Fit For An Autopsy's Putney will return to guest-produce in Brooklyn, while Converge's Ballou joins the program for the first time, producing sessions in Boston.

    • Both Putney and Ballou bring over a decade of experience, with Putney working on celebrated albums for The Acacia Strain, After the Burial, Suicide Silence, Exhumed, and many more, and Ballou churning out hits for bands including Four Year Strong, Beastmilk, Young Widows, Nails, High on Fire, Modern Life Is War, Kvelertak, and Torche.

Registration is open now through Sunday, August 2. To register for the chance at a free recording session or to learn more about "Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks," please visit http://www.converse-music.com/metalsucks.
