In case you don't already have it, we wanted to give you five reasons in particular to go out and purchase Chickenfoot's brand new album, Chickenfoot III. We're going to keep this short, sweet, and simple so you have time to go pick up the album after you're done reading it.

    3D Packaging

The four members of Chickenfoot—Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Chad Smith, and Michael Anthony—are so badass that they literally pop off of the album's packaging. Just put on the 3D glasses that it comes with and they'll be jumping off the artwork at you as the songs blare through your stereo system. That's almost as cool as the band actually playing at your house.

    Shredding

When was the last time you heard a guitar solo that made your jaw hit the floor? Was it 1987? Well, Chickenfoot III has absolutely no shortage of mind-blowing, fret-burning leads courtesy of six-string wizard Joe Satriani. It's purely magical listening to him fire off swaggering blues riffs and searing solos. It's everything we'd hope for from 21st century shred.

    R&B and Metal "Get Down"

Chickenfoot III must be the first album ever that mixes thunderous bass lines with funked-out drum patterns. The tandem groove of Smith and Anthony will either make you shake your ass or start a mosh pit. Either way, you're going to be moving…how many modern rock bands have that power?

    The Blues Lives

Chickenfoot update the blues on both "Three And A Half Letters (I Need A Job)" and "Something Going Wrong". Hagar sounds pristine as he relays heartbreaking tales that'll stick with listeners long after they hear them. He's simply on fire delivering performances that most of his contemporaries could never match. It's a showing of raw prowess from the singer and it's invigorating.
