Rapper 50 Cent has requested that a judge dismiss a copyright infringement case against him since the plaintiff suing him doesn't actually own the song he has lodged the suit over. Seems like reason enough for that to get tossed out, no?

Robert Poindexter is suing 50 Cent, claiming that the rapper borrowed a portion of his track "Love Gonna Pack Up and Walk Out" on new song "Redrum" without permission. Legal papers have been filed pointing out that Poindexter doesn't even own the rights to The Persuaders song. 50 Cent claims Poindexter signed the rights to the song over to Warner Music Group and therefore he can't sue anyone since he doesn't own the copyright.

    Team 50 or Team Poindexter?
