Want to prove you are not a number? Well, you can, thanks to A.J. Ellis.

Ellis will release his debut solo album Bury the Devil on April 1 via Glaze Records.

The New York City-based British expat is best known as the frontman of Five O'Clock Heroes, a band that saw success during the early to mid-2000s NYC revival. He was born in the U.K., but has been living in the U.S. since the mid-'90s. He also played in his brother Steve Ellis' band The Simpletons.

Yeah, he is pretty much a New Yawker.

The first introduction to Ellis' solo sound comes in the form of the single "Prove You're Not a Number." It stays true to his previous rock roots. It has that downtown NYC vibe, for sure.
