Aaron Lewis to Release "Town Line" Country-Tinged EP
Wed, 01 Dec 2010 13:01:12
Country music comes naturally for Staind singer, Aaron Lewis. It's something the frontman grew up with in rural Vermont. He is exploring that formative influence on Town Line, a five-song EP for Nashville-based Stroudavarious Records. The first single is "Country Boy," which will have you believing in Lewis' downhome roots. This isn't designer country; this is the real deal. But I would not expect anything less from Lewis, who wears his heart proudly on his sleeve.
With a little help on both the single and video from legends such as George Jones and Charlie Daniels, as well as critically acclaimed new traditionalist Chris Young, Lewis shows off another side to his musical personality. The video is set to premiere Wednesday, December 1 at CMT.COM and will have its on-air premiere on CMT Monday, December 6. The "Country Boy" single will be available Tuesday, December 7 at iTunes and all other digital retailers.
Lewis will embark on an acoustic tour this January 15, while Town Line will hit shelves in February. About "Country Boy," Lewis said, "George Jones and Charlie Daniels are two of the genre's legends, and Chris Young represents the new regime. It's definitely a personal, autobiographical song, and I'm very thankful that they all participated."
