Abigail Breslin is the hardest working little girl in show business. The 12-year-old has accepted roles in three forthcoming films, including Rango, an animated family feature starring Johnny Depp, who will voice the role of a family pet who leaves his home and heads on a journey to discover his true self. Isla Fisher has just been cast as the lead female voice.
Breslin will also voice the lead role in The Wild Bunch, another animated feature that centers on a bunch of common wildflowers and plants that are attacked by genetically enhanced cornstalks.
As we reported last week, the versatile pre-teen, who was nominated for an Oscar for her work in Little Miss Sunshine in 2006, is also joining the cast of Columbia's horror-comedy Zombieland. She will play a young con artist.
