Adele is almost beating The Bodyguard... soundtrack, that is! Her mega best-selling album 21 has enjoyed its 17th week atop the charts, shifting another 95,000 copies. The disc, which spawned "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You," needs only four more weeks at No. 1 to hold the slot longer than any other album since The Bodyguard soundtrack enjoyed a 20-week run in May of 1993. The soundtrack was lead by Whitney Houston, who starred in the flick with Kevin Costner. Remember that?

So essentially Adele will break a nearly 19-year-old record with 21.
