Adele has reportedly trademarked her own name.

Doing so means that companies can't use her name and image to market a product, like a perfume or a jewelry line, without the singer's consent. It also means she can sue if a company does so.

The Sun reported the news that Adele filed to trademark her name.

The diva is fiercely private and has always maintained that she is a singer, not a pop star, and that she sings, instead of showing off her body and using her name to sell things. Like perfume or jewelry.
