Conflicting reports have come out of Adele's and the NFL's offices about next year's Super Bowl halftime show. What we are sure about is, Adele will not be playing the 2017 Super Bowl halftime show on February 5th in Houston, Texas.
Over the weekend, Adele was playing one of her many shows at Los Angeles' Staples Center when she addressed the crowd about the Super Bowl halftime show rumors saying, "First of all, I'm not doing the Super Bowl. I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don't really -- I can't dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no," reported Billboard.
However, since Adele's announcement, the NFL and Pepsi have released a statement about the rumors, "The NFL and Pepsi are big fans of Adele. We have had conversations with several artists about the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. However, we have not at this point extended a formal offer to Adele or anyone else. We are focused on putting together a fantastic show for Houston and we look forward to revealing that in good time," reveals Billboard.
The rumors about Adele playing the Super Bowl halftime show were first reported earlier this week by The Sun, "There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up," sighting an NFL Source.
