Akon's Sri Lankan Concert Cancelled

We recently reported that an angry mob in Sri Lanka was protesting a planned concert by R&B star Akon by throwing stones at the local promoter's headquarters. The protestors' asses were in an uproar because Akon's vid for "Sexy Bitch" features scantily clad bitches cavorting near an image of Buddha, the God that many in the country worship. Four folks sustained minor injuries, as did the building's façade, as a result of the protest.
Sri Lankan authorities claimed they would deny the R&B star a visa for his April concert. "Taking into consideration the allegations leveled against the singer Akon, the government had decided not to issue him a visa to conduct the concert in Sri Lanka," Anusha Palpita, the government Information Department's director-general, said in a statement. Apparently, Akon is defaming Buddhism with his video. Akon responded by postponing the event for now.
Thesinger expressed regret and said that he was not…previously…aware…of…the…statue…in…the…video. Really? Seriously? We call bullshit on that one. Or we'd like to suggest that Akon's management get thee to an ophthalmologist to get his eyesight checked…stat. All artists see rough cuts of their videos and this excuse is as thin and as flimsy as a condom.
Do you think Akon was really unaware of the Buddha's presence in the video?
