Police in Fishkill, New York are investigating a fight that happened Sunday between Akon and a 15-year-old fan, which culminated in the R&B singer tossing the teen off the stage and onto another ticket buyer. The secondary victim alleges that she suffered a concussion.
Concert attendees claim that the scuffle began when an audience member threw something at Akon during his performance. The singer asked the audience to identify the guilty party, which then led to a security guard bringing the unidentified teen up to the stage. Akon then inexplicably lifted the fan over his shoulders and threw him into the audience, where he landed on Abby Rosa, who now says she has blurry vision and headaches as a result. The boy was reportedly uninjured and refused medical treatment at the concert.
No criminal charges have been filed against Akon, and his lawyer claims that there is no basis for them. As we previously reported, this is not Akon's first incident involving a teen; in April, the singer simulated onstage sex with a girl who later turned out to be 14, prompting Verizon Wireless to drop its support of the Gwen Stefani tour for which Akon is currently still the opening act.
