Pop music fans are in an uproar of the release of Michael Jackson's "final" record, which contains music he was working on when he died in June 2009. Some fans question the authenticity and the spirit of the music, as it was not complete at the time of Jackson's passing. Akon, who appears on the first single, "Hold My Hand," told MTV News that song is the only one that was complete and as a result, is the only song that will be released.
"‘Hold My Hand' was one of the records that was actually fully complete," Akon said about why he supported the song on the posthumous release, Michael, which hits stores December 14. "The rest of the ideas aren't fully complete. They're just ideas, concepts, and harmonies which the world will probably never see, because I would never put it out unfinished. So I might just burn it after this interview… We've done plenty of records outside of this. But they were just incomplete."
The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am said he will not release any of the music that he was working on with Jackson at the time of his death as it is incomplete, as well.
What do you think of Michael? Good idea? Bad idea? Cashing in?
