Country singer Alan Jackson teamed up with Wish of a Lifetime, a nonprofit that grants wishes to senior citizens, to make the day of a senior citizen that LOVES Jackson and his music.

Jackson and the organization granted the wish to Sharon Benton, 65, whose biggest desire was to meet Alan Jackson concert and attend one of his concerts.

Sharon began listening to Jackson's music as a young adult, and his music has been a huge influence on her life. She describes listening to his music as an "escape," as it's helped her persevere and life a happy life. That's the redemptive power of music, for sure. We are so glad A. Jackson's music elicited that type of reaction from Benton.

Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living partnered up to grant Sharon's wish to attend Jackson's April 24 concert in Wilkesboro, N.C. and to meet him. This photo is from their meeting.

    Heartwarming, isn't it?

So often, we hear of artists meeting with sick children, which is BEYOND amazing, important and critical. They need to do MORE of that. But it's also nice to see them granting wishes and caring about their elderly fans, too! What a generous gesture of Jackson's part. More artists should show their love and appreciation to their older sects of fans.

What artist would you LOVE to meet?
