Kid Ink continues to leave his mark on hip-hop, pop, R&B, and everything in between with Full Speed [iTunes link].
He lives up to that title too by cruising with the pedal to the metal right towards the future. That's what makes the record so captivating from top to bottom. It's a fast-paced, focused, and fiery romp through anthem after anthem. He flies right through the gate with an easy and engaging flow during "What It Feels Like" that's as confessional as it is catchy and "Faster," which slides from a clean guitar and smooth production into more verbal fireworks. The early cuts illuminate just how much prowess he has behind the mic, dropping two bangers that draw the spotlight right to Kid Ink.
R. Kelly lends that inimitable charm to "Dolo," while "Body Language" with Usher and Tinashe feels just as fresh as it did (if not fresher) since it first dropped in September 2014.
He and Chris Brown deliver another monster of a smash with the unshakable "Hotel."
However, its Kid Ink's collaboration with Young Thug and Bricc Baby Shitro, "Like a Hott Boy," that stands out the most. It's as wild as it is wickedly fun, making for an otherworldly space jam that's a downright blast.
Kid Ink has churned out not only a flawless follow-up to My One Lane but one of the most fun albums in recent memory. He's setting the pace for rap with Full Speed.
