Alex O'Loughlin Has a Back Up Plan

Alex O'Loughlin of TV's Moonlight fame will star as the romantic lead opposite Jennifer Lopez in the forthcoming romantic comedy, The Back Up Plan, which was originally titled Plan B.

CBS Films will release the pic, which features Lopez as a single woman who is artificially inseminated as a result of her loudly ticking biological clock. On the very day she is inseminated, she meets the man of her dreams, throwing her plans out of whack. The film shoots in Los Angeles next month, with Alan Poul, known for lensing episodes of shows like Big Love, scheduled to direct. Michaela Watkins of Saturday Night Live fame has also joined the project. She will play Mona, who is the best friend of Lopez's character.
