Keep a Child Alive (KCA) co-founder and Global Ambassador Alicia Keys has revealed that the 10th Annual Black Ball will take place on November 7, 2013 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. This star-studded event has raised over $18.5 million for children and families affected by HIV and will celebrate the work of Keep a Child Alive (KCA).
Guests will be inspired by moving films, thought-provoking décor, and poignant speeches highlighting 10 years of KCA's bold journey to save lives, expanding access to lifesaving HIV treatment and care.
The Black Ball will feature never-before-seen musical collaborations between KCA Global Ambassador, Alicia Keys, and other leading artists, while taking guests on a unique and inspiring journey.
"As I look back on the last ten years, I'm overjoyed by how far we've come and so incredibly proud of what we've been able to accomplish," said Keys. "Since day one, Keep a Child Alive has been about directly touching the people who need us most! It is such a passion for me, gives me real purpose and I couldn't be more thankful to everyone who has supported us to make this real! We are truly touching lives, and we couldn't do it without our Keep a Child Alive family who has made this all possible."
Can you help support Alicia Keys in this endeavor on any level? Even if you can't attend the actual fancy schmancy ball itself? It's such a good cause that spreading the word, even on social media, is helpful.
