Alicia Keys' "Keep a Child Alive" Campaign Raises $1 Million

Alicia Keys' unflattering promotional initiative for her Keep a Child Alive charity, where celebs like Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga stayed off Twitter and other social networking platforms until Keys' AIDS charity raised $1 million, is over now that a billionaire pharmaceutical executive has donated $500,000 so that the campaign could reach its goal.
The campaign, with its cool posers featuring participating celebs in coffins to drive home the point, was a slow go in achieving the necessary donations and funds, as fans did not respond by donating in order to bring the celebs back to activity on their social networking outlets. It was a move that was ridiculed by comics, suggesting that celebs staying offline and not posting Tweets was something we all couldn't live without, thus causing us to rush to donate to get them back. Hubris!!
Do you care that Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian are back on Twitter?
