'American Idol' Judges Nix Alexis Grace

Alexis Grace, a 21-year-old single mother from Memphis, TN, received the least amount of American Idol votes Wednesday night, all but ensuring her dismissal after a disappointing rendition of the Dolly Parton classic "Jolene."
"I wish I could've done better," Grace said after the judges announced her elimination. "But, you know, things happen for a reason."
A 16-year-old student (Allison Iraheta) was also ousted, leaving Michael Sarver—a 27-year-old oil rig worker—as the only safe contestant despite his own low vote tally. "I'm gonna cry like a frickin' baby," Sarver said after hearing he'd stick around for another round.
This season's 11 finalists now include Sarver, Iraheta, Adam Lambert, Anoop Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Corkrey and Scott MacIntyre. They'll compete using Motown covers next Wednesday.
