"American Idols Live 2011" Tour Announced - It's 42 dates and features the Top 11 contestants

The 42-date "American Idols Live 2011 Tour" - featuring the Top 11 contestants, due to the fact that the judges used a "save" on a contestant that was booted by the voting public- will kick off in July and canvas the country (and Canada) for 42 dates this summer. The tour launches just after the Fourth of July holiday and runs past Labor Day!

Contestants on the tour include Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk and Haley Reinhart, Naima Adedapo, Thia Megia, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano and Stefano Langone. Clearly, getting voted off is just as beneficial as being crowned the winner of American Idol.

Tickets for all the show go on sale May 13th at 10 AM.
