Amy Winehouse's Father Says She Died of a Seizure

Amy Winehouse's father said his daughter did everything to excess, whether it was drinking or trying to quit drinking! He is theorizing that going cold turkey contributed to her death.
Mitch Winehouse insisted that his daughter, 27, did not die of a drug overdose, as was widely reported after her body was found at her north London home earlier this summer. The toxicology reports showed that Papa Winehouse was correct. There were no illegal drugs in the singer's system at the time of her death on July 23.
In the family's first post-death interview with Anderson Cooper on his new show Anderson, Mitch reveals that his daughter died after suffering a seizure caused by alcohol detoxification.
The interview airs tonight and the singer's father reveals officials only found the prescription drug Lithium in his daughter's system; she was taking Lithium to combat issues related to alcoholism.
Mitch says, "Everything Amy did, she did to excess. She drank to excess and did detox to excess."
Mr. Winehouse still believes she was on the road to recovery and would win her battle with the bottle, saying, "The periods of abstinence were becoming longer, and the periods of drinking were becoming shorter. It was headed in the right direction."
R.I.P., Amy Winehouse.
