The Associated Press reports that Amy Winehouse will appear on Quincy Jones forthcoming album, Q: Soul Bossa Nostra.
It is the first new Winehouse track in years; the behived singer hasn't released any new music since 2006's breakthrough, Back to Black, due in large part to her substance abuse issues and marital woes. Winehouse's appearance on Jones' record is certainly an event in the music world, that's for sure.
Winehouse and her Back to Black producer Mark Ronson teamed up once again to record the 1963 classic "It's My Party" for the album celebrating Jones' past hits.
Winehouse is one of many guests lending their vocals to Q: Soul Bossa Nostra. The album also features contributions from Usher, Ludacris, Akon, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, T-Pain and LL Cool J, among others. The album is set for release in November.
