Do gooder, mom of six and new director Angelina Jolie is expected to get a new license to film in Bosnia after the authorities revoked the initial license over concerns about the script, reports AFP.
"I was promised by the Ministry of Culture that the license will be issued on Monday," producer Edin Sarkic told AFP, adding that he was about to restart preparations for the shooting. "I will then have 20 days to set up a score of locations and I think it is doable," he added.
Jolie has already begun shooting her directorial debut in Hungary: a love story between a Serb man and Muslim girl at the beginning of Bosnia's 1992-1995 war. This fact did not sit well with The Ministry of Culture of the Muslim-Croat Federation, which cancelled the license due to some bad information.
The approval was subsequently revoked when the Women Victims of War association complained after the media reported that the film would depict a love story between a Muslim victim and her Serb rapist. That's the big no-no, understandably so.
However, Jolie and the producer claimed it was a misunderstanding and urged the authorities to reconsider the decision to revoke the license.
Do you think Angelina Jolie will be able to proceed as planned with her film? Does the subject matter entice you?
