Anna Faris has locked down a pair of comedies for her resume. An as-yet untitled pitch from Faris and three collaborators has been picked up by Paramount and will be produced by Happy Madison, while Columbia has acquired the romantic comedy 20 Times a Lady, which will be a starring vehicle for the actress.
The Paramount film is a female buddy flick about two estranged sisters who team up in order to nab a husband. Faris will executive produce the film. It has not been determined if she will star in the film. 20 Times a Lady is about a woman who revisits her sexual past while questing to find Mr. Right. The film examines whether or not how many people you've slept with in your life determines your romantic fate.
Faris enjoyed respectable success in the $50 million grossing The House Bunny last summer, which established her as a viable comedienne who can carry a film at the box office.
