    Aphex Twin has confirmed his first US show in eight years. He will be appearing at the second edition of Houston's Day For Night Festival - which takes place on December 17th and 18th.

    The festival will mark Aphex Twin's first live appearance in the United States since performing at Coachella in 2008. The artist shared a charismatic tweet referencing the festival - you can check that out below. He currently has no further plans for touring.

    In July Aphex Twin released a new EP called Cheetah. It followed his trio of 2015 releases: his album Syro, the Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 EP, and the Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) EP. Along with the EP was a captivating video, his first in 17 years, which was shot by a twelve-year-old.

    Day for Night's lineup also includes Run the Jewels, Travis Scott, Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker), Banks, Blood Orange, Little Dragon, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Squarepusher, Oneohtrix Point Never, Liars, Lower Dens, S U R V I V E, Matmos, Clams Casino, Blonde Redhead, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, RZA, John Carpenter, Washed Out, Ariel Pink, Lightning Bolt, Arca, DJ Windows 98, Mykki Blanco, Chelsea Wolfe, SOPHIE, Tobacco, Nothing, Mary Lattimore and Jeff Zeigler, and the Björk Digital installation.
