After increasing tabloid reports indicated that she had pancreatic cancer after undergoing surgery last month for a serious illness, soul diva Aretha Franklin told Access Hollywood that she was not suffering from that particular illness. "I was sitting there reading the newspaper and it was saying someone in my family said that," Franklin said. "No one in my family ever said that to anybody." The singer would only say that she was hospitalized after experiencing an extreme pain in her left side.  She also has gone on record saying that she will not discuss what the ailment was specifically, which is more than within her rights.

Do you think we should all R-E-S-P-E-C-T Franklin's privacy regarding her health? I do!
