We countdown the Top 5 songs from our Artist of the Week…

G-Eazy is our Artist of the Week, and as far as we're concerned, he's one of the most thrilling artists out there. The Bay Area rapper is in the process of readying his third full-length album, The Rise of the Villain, [RVG/BPG/RCA Records] for release soon. In case you didn't know, he's selling out shows left and right, and last year's incredible These Things Happen debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200. Given his hot streak, we decided to countdown our Top 5 G-Eazy Songs.

    Top 5 G-Eazy Songs

    5. Pell x G-Eazy – "Got It Like That"

This is the most recent cut on this list, and it illuminates the rhyme acrobatics that make G-Eazy so striking as an MC. He deftly weaves together words over bouncy beat, quickly veering left and right and giving a head-spinning and hypnotic turn. "Got It Like That" flaunts his talent a hundred times over and solidifies why he's so crucial to rap's future.

    4. "Downtown Love" [feat. John Michael Rouchell]

A standout from 2014's phenomenal These Things Happen, this one merges ethereal production and a cool, soulful hook with G-Eazy's vivid and vibrant storytelling. You practically feel like you're there at that high-rise party with him, seeing everything through his eyes. Crossing the five-minute mark, the bridge is as chilling as it is catchy.
