We love her Emily the Strange image/style. In this latest segment of our groundbreaking See the Music series, Napoleon talks about her song "Poison," from its labor to its birth to its development.
She reveals how it took her a long time to write this track, debuting a version of it on New Year's Eve, playing a rendition that was both bare bones and sans vocals. She wanted to see how "it" went over.
"It took me six months to write because it was being a bit of a stubborn child, as I am," she admitted about the process.
Audrey Napoleon also reveals how she chose the vocals for "Poison" and how she had a "Eureka!" moment when she heard the right a cappella track for the song.
