There's a reason nu metal was so huge. At the end of the day, the bands had fun, and they wanted the crowds to have an equally enjoyable time. There were actually attractive girls in the audience—it really was a mythical time. It wasn't just a bunch of bearded guys in indiscernible death metal shirts staring at their shoes angrily. It was like a party. Isn't that what rock 'n' roll is supposed to be? It's turned into an all-male hipster hate fest. That's where Attila comes in.
No, they aren't a nu metal band by any stretch of the imagination, but they hearken back to that spirit. To put it simply, the group's latest About That Life is a fucking blast. It's beer-cracking, skull-snapping, and ass-shaking good time from Atlanta's wildest crew. Whether singer Chris "Fronz" Fronzak is wiling out over a slippery groove with his pure rap fury during "Middle Fingers Up" or "About That Life" or he's screaming his head off on "Break Shit", it's all done with groove and gusto. This is music that's meant to split the pit, and it stomps with the kind of lumbering intensity of your favorite technical charmers.
At the same time, you might be able to catch a few chicks throwing their panties on stage because these dudes encourage rowdiness! In a word, it's refreshing. If you feel like shaking metal and yelling, "Why so serious?" this is for you.
Sit back have a good time, don't think so much, and enjoy About That Life.
