Avenged Sevenfold will premiere the video for their current single "So Far Away" on Tuesday, May 10th on MTV, MTV2, MTVu, and MTV.com. That's tomorrow, so make a reminder in your SmartPhones all you A7X fans.

The video is a raw and emotional tribute to the band's late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and celebrates the long-time friendship the band members have shared since forming Avenged Sevenfold in Huntington Beach, California, in 1999. The video was directed by Wayne Isham, who has directed videos for such artists as Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Megadeth and Def Leppard, among many others.

The heartfelt quality of the video is in keeping with the emotional resonance of the song, a very personal goodbye to Sullivan that appears on the band's album Nightmare. "So Far Away" is currently climbing the Active Rock chart, following on the heels of the band's two previous No. 1 Active Rock singles, "Welcome to the Family" and "Nightmare," which was the most played song at the format (Mediabase) in 2010.

Grab a tissue when you watch the video for "So Far Away." R.I.P., Jimmy. We miss you.

Are you going to watch the premiere of the A7X video for "So Far Away" tomorrow?
