Swedish EDMer Avicii, who blew up with his folk-dance smash hit "Wake Me Up" featuring Aloe Blacc, is spending his time in the Hollywood Hills working on the follow-up to his 2013 album True. His partners-in-crime for this new platter are nothing short of amazing.
He is working with Jon Bon Jovi, Serj Tankian of System of a Down, Chris Martin of Coldplay and Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. Like whoa, right?
Avicii has even recorded a reggae duet between Wyclef Jean and Matisyahu. Again, our minds our blown at what Avicii is able to do and how he can mix different genres and artists from different styles so seamlessly. We can't wait to hear 'em all!
"It's going to be a lot more song-oriented," Avicii told Rolling Stone. "True was an attempt at that, getting electronic music in a song format." It was a successful attempt and it's awesome that he is continuing with that effort. He was able to make EDM even more digestible.
The album is due out this year.
Which Avicii collaborator are you most stoked about?
