    Bullet for My Valentine Photos

    • Bullet for My Valentine - There's something that can be said for a band that has an audience howling way before they step out on stage. The house lights had not even dimmed for Bullet For My Valentine’s entrance, and the crowd was already chanting song lyrics and attempting to crowd surf – absolutely insane. Once Bullet made their much anticipated entrance the metal heads, moshers, and surfers only grew in their enthusiasm. Through "Your Betrayal" and "Scream Aim Fire," there were more crowd surfers then security knew what to do with. All the while BFMV shredded the faces of non-surfers. Though there was a good mix of songs performed from all three albums their set seemed a tad bit short, only playing about 12 songs. The crowd clearly loved every minute of every song but there was definitely room – and want – for more.-Lilly Ryden

AxeWound slice right through heavy metal with "Cold", the first single from Vultures, out October 2, 2012.

Featuring Bullet for My Valentine singer and guitarist Matt Tuck on the axe and Cancer Bats mainman Liam Cormier on lead vocals, the band stands out as the ultimate modern super group. Tuck's tight, tough, and technical riffing drives "Cold" with gusto and groove. He also adds pristine vocals on the hook that prove simply transfixing. Meanwhile, Cormier sounds out for blood screaming with unmitigated rage. Their styles fuse together perfectly for a corrosive combination that's downright badass.

Guitarist Mike Kingswood [Glamour of the Kill] matches Tuck perfectly, while bassist Joe Copcutt [Rise to Remain] and drummer Jason Bowld [Pitchshifter] lay down an utterly punishing percussive groove.

"Cold" is simply a prelude to Vultures though. Metal's new guard has come together, and blood will flow.
