New Christmas songs and just straight up great new tracks appeared this week over the airwaves. Whether you were looking for a new holiday jingle to put you in the seasonal mood or a surprise release from an all time favorite, there was a new track unveiled this week that was a perfect present for you.

Canadian power pop veterans Sloane released a seven inch with two seasonal tracks, "Kids Come Back Again At Christmas" and "December 25" - the album has already sold out. Meanwhile, Nine Inch Nails has just released a new EP Not the Actual Events, and earlier in the week gave us a sneak peek via "Burning Bright (Field On Fire)".

Tokyo's Aya Gloomy unveiled two outstanding tracks, "I Sink" and "Drive", from her forthcoming debut 12", which is due out in February via Big Love. Mick Jenkins teamed up with one of the brightest new stars of 2016, Kaytranada, for a new song "Aurora Borealis". And that was only the beginning for a week filled with new songs from all over the map.

    Here are our favorites:

    Aya Gloomy — "I Sink"

Aya Gloomy isn't a name that many have heard as of yet, but that should change this coming February. Her sound is reminiscent of early-days M.I.A., both in production and in the nasally vocals. We only suggest turning it up.

Sloane — "Kids Come Back Again At Christmas"

Sloane, the four-piece power pop quartet from Halifax, Nova Scotia, released a two-track seven inch that sold out rapidly. But in the spirit of the season, the band has released the tracks online. It's tall truly in the spirit of the season.

PINS — "Come on Home (It's Christmas)"

PINS penned their Christmas tune for Amazon Music's Indie For The Holidays. It's dreamy, charming, and a bit heartsick, perfect for those blues that always accompany the season in one way or another.

Mick Jenkins — "Aurora Borealis" (Produced by Kaytranada)

Mick Jenkins initially tapped Kaytranada to work on his debut album, The Healing Component, which came out back in September. The pair continue their relationship on the glowing "Aurora Borealis", taken from a new compilation titled 119 Presents: Countdown to Midnight.

Nine Inch Nails — "Burning Bright (Field On Fire)"

All some people wanted for Christmas was a new Nine Inch Nails record, which they promised would drop by the end of this year. They kept their promise.
