Ben Kingsley's SBK Shingle Packs Production Slate

Actor Ben Kingsley's upstart, U.K.-based production shingle SBK Pictures is currently packing its slate with projects, including five films and a made-for-TV miniseries, all of which are in development. Kingsley launched the company in 2007 with partners Simone Sheffield and Valerie Hoffman.
Kingsley is attached to star in several of these projects, including Jutland 1916, a WWI drama about an epic naval battle. Kingsley will play Admiral John Jellicoe. Kingsley will also voice the elephant character in Duncan, a romantic fantasy in which a woman reconnects with a her favorite childhood toy.
Whispers Like Thunder is another of the feature films in the SBK pipeline, which looks at the true story of Native American sisters who battle the United States government for 65 years over sacred burial ground in Kansas. Kingsley would play Charles Curtis, the only partial Native American to serve as Vice President of the U.S. Also in development are Quixote, about author Miguel de Cervantes, and I Know a Place, a British comedy.
Meanwhile, British actress Emily Mortimer is negotiating to star in Cousin Bazilio, the miniseries which will have six parts and be set in 1870-era Lisbon.
