Few bands have managed to cultivate a name so synonymous with the Southern California lifestyle as well as Best Coast. The indie rock two-piece formed by Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno in 2009 has come a long way from the sunny garage pop of their first album Crazy for You and cooled into their aptly named third album, California Nights. The new record is true to the catchy pop melodies and irresistible singability that originally drew fans to the band, but sonically darkened by Cosentino embracing her diverse influences with an attitude of "Whatever I like, I like."
