Claims are being made that the party, and the announcement made to The Washington Post, represents a trolling of President Elect, Donald Trump. Whilst Trump is reportedly struggling to secure any artists willing to appear at his inauguration, a host of A-List artists will gather at the White House on Friday, January 6th to celebrate the current president's term in office.
According to The Washington Post, Barack and First Lady Michelle Obama are throwing a "grown up party" for some of their closest and coolest friends. Also in attendance will be Jay Z, Bradley Cooper, and J.J. Abrams. Paul McCartney and David Letterman are also rumored to be on the guestlist.
If this star-studded party follows the typical Obama script for private parties, the first couple will be paying for the event from their own pocket, as they did for the Prince concert last summer. Cell phones will be confiscated from all guests at the White House security gate, and social media posts will be limited.
