Beyonce's Mom Lashes Out at Fashion Reporter

When Beyonce is under attack, it seems that her defense mechanism is to keep on smiling and let her mother, Tina Knowles, do the fighting. This was the case in an earlier viral video that featured the singer being sabotaged at a supposed "fan dinner" by an angry member of PETA. In the latest incident, also making the viral rounds online, she was premiering her House of Dereon clothing line in Chicago when she was confronted with some pesky questions from WBBM-TV consumer reporter Dorothy Tucker.
"Your clothes are sold in about a dozen stores in the Chicago area," said Tucker. "We did get a phone call from a couple of those stores who said they had to send the production back, that there was a poor fit, the tops weren't…"
Tina had heard enough by this point, and cut in to demand that the tape stop rolling. Accustomed to the puff pieces that are the norm in the entertainment industry -- and elsewhere -- she apparently couldn't understand why Tucker wasn't restricting herself to happy questions. "Why would you do that?" she asked Tucker. "You're here to interview us about the clothes. In a positive light."
Tucker didn't back down, instead mentioning one boutique owner who had received House of Dereon tops that were sized incorrectly and was subsequently unable to get an answer from the company.
"Yeah, but I don't want to talk about that on the air," Tina Knowles said curtly. And that was that -- except in cyberspace, where video of Mama Knowles' outburst is still making the rounds.
