Billy Talent will issue their long-awaited fourth album, Dead Silence, on September 11.

To be released on Last Gang Records (Death from Above 1979, Lights) Dead Silence is the band's first release not to have a number in the title (the last being 2009's full-length III). It also marks the most ambitious and fully-realized work the band has delivered yet, a true tour de force rock album.

Now, more info about Dead Silence:

The album was produced by Billy Talent guitarist Ian D'Sa in studios across Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles. It is comprised of 14 songs that tie in with each other in "a journey through highs and lows which "represents all aspects of life basically," said singer Ben Kowalewicz. Rounded out by drummer Aaron Solowoniuk and bassist Jon Gallant) Billy Talent has been at its core four friends musical journey over the past two decades.

That core was shaken last winter when Solowoniuk revealed that he had to undergo heart surgery. That information may offer some insight into why Dead Silence is charged with the most honest, deep and dark lyrics from the band to date. "A lot of the album has to do with how important it is not to get caught up in material culture, internet culture and all those things that distract us from what's real," reveals Kowalewicz.
