One can't help but mention the most inventive and creative showcases discovered at NAMM this year, Black Crow Arts. The company, founded in 2006, makes a unique and innovative way to express the art of music. The Long Beach-based company designs hand-crafted guitar, bass, microphone belt buckles and record wallets. "Music is our gasoline and life source," says designer David Ryan, "Black Crow Arts is a product of exploration and recycled imagination; an eco-minded company with interest in the creative." All works are original one-of-a-kind handcrafted customs, treated and oiled for protection.
In addition to the belt buckles, Black Crow Arts makes an exclusive and avant-garde collection of musical related works transforming used vinyl records and album artwork into snazzy checkbook or pocket-size wallets. The vinyl casing used for the wallets is also recycled, as is the fretboard and brass used on each buckle.
Would you wear a Black Crow Arts buckle or sport a Rolling Stones wallet?
