Black Light Burns elegantly warp rock 'n' roll once more on "Splayed" from their forthcoming new album, The Moment You Realize You're Going to Fall.

A jittery riff morphs and moves fluidly alongside shaky jazz-infused drums and bass. Meanwhile, singer, guitarist, and mastermind Wes Borland casts a darkly psychedelic haze over everything via twisted echoes and entrancing sonic flourishes. The hook is as punchy as it is poetic, and once again Black Light Burns remain wonderfully impossible to categorize.

It's industrially gnashing at times. It's alternatively catchy at others. However, it's always heavy in its own right. Borland remains one of the most exciting musicians on the planet, and this just a taste of the sonic wizardry to come on The Moment You Realize You're Going to Fall.

Once again, there's a thrill around every musical bend. Get "Splayed" now…
